What is
a VIN?
This is the "Vehicle Identification Number"
for your automobile or truck. This number breaks down
your vehicle to illustrate such things as engine size,
body style, model year, transmission type, color,
etc
Where can I find my
VIN?
Typically, it is located
on your dashboard just under your windshield. Also, it is printed on your vehicle registration
(this should be in your glove box). For vehicles newer
than 1980, this is a 17 digit alpha numeric (a
combination of numbers and letters) number.
Why is this VIN so
important?
When we receive your quotation request, the work
has just begun. The VIN gives a detailed breakdown of
your vehicle so any guesswork on the actual value of the
vehicle. This is especially important in giving you the
most accurate quotation on covering the value of your
vehicle in case of total loss.
Are all the letters
and numbers necessary when entering my VIN?
The VIN sequence as well as properly entering each
number and letter is critical for the agent to research
your request. Each alphanumeric entry represents a
particular feature of your vehicle so please take your
time while entering the VIN and double check it before
you submit your request.
